Abalone House was excellent. The service, the room and the location was very good. The dinner was not good although the breakfast was very good. I think it would make a very good conference venue.

Abalone House it’s a beauty out of this world. The welcoming/warmth we received was wonderful. The service was the best. I got sick the Sunday morning and I was given special treatment..woow am out of words. Wonderful place to be am definitely going back. The food whwoow.

Thank you very much for offering us the opportunity to experience the warm and friendly hospitality of Abalone House. We were very impressed with the venue, facilities, food and hospitality and would definitely be interested in using the venue should an appropriate event arise.

We were most impressed with what we found at Abalone and I have told so many people about our stay, I stopped counting! It was just the most amazing guesthouse and we really thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paternoster.
Let me list all the positives:
Front of House: Lindsay and her colleague (sorry forgot his name) were so helpful throughout - from arrival up to departure. She must be the happiest person on earth with her spontaneous little laugh - we so enjoyed that
Lindsay’s husband chef will only get compliments from us - the food was absolutely divine! Who would have thought that in a small West Coast town you would get interesting food like that? It was tasty and so beautifully presented
The room was stunning and we were lucky to have a view from our bed onto a part of the ocean. Love the setup in the room with bathroom on the side and the under floor heating, which was really welcome in the weather we had. There was attention to every detail
Conference room is cosy and has a personal touch - we actually watched a rugby game upon arrival and had our afternoon tea and eats there
Bar Area: Lindsay's colleague assisted us there before dinner and he's a very friendly guy.
Dinner: was excellent and we choose just the right wine with it
Breakfast: such a beautiful setting overlooking the sea. Breakfast itself was out of this world! Our compliments to the chef - again!
Departure: Lyndsay presented us with water and sweets - special touch
The People: as I have mentioned before, friendly, down-to-earth people that made us feel very welcome
I really hope that we can do this again - I can't stop thinking about our visit to Abalone and what a pleasurable experience it was. Will recommend anytime to anyone and have done so already. When we receive guests from our overseas offices, I will definitely recommend it as a venue. Will also keep in mind for a break-away for our Exco when they plan such a meeting.
I am so glad I got the opportunity to visit Abalone and the trip felt like a long due vacation! Thank you once again.

Ons het die tydjie by Abalone House ongelooflik geniet! Dit was ‘n wonderlike ervaring.
Daar is letterlik niks waaroor ons kan kla nie.
Die kos was heerlik, die bediening en diens was puik, die kamers was pragtig en ons is vreeslik bederf!
Ek het nou vir Abalone House op ons databasis gevoeg en die gastehuis
sal beslis aanbeveel word by ons kliënte.
Dra ook ons dan en waardering oor aan almal by Abalone House.

What a fabulous and warm environment and the staff were just fantastic and on the ball and know how to connect with people – very impressive.
I’ve already been marketing it to some of my clients looking for a small overnight conferencing venue.

ABALONE WAS DIVINE!!!!! I would and already have recommended the place to many. The food was fantastic (ek het my oor eet) and the accommodation was heavenly. I loved their heated tiles in the bathroom. The entire set up was divine. We weren’t able to make use of the Jacuzzi as the weather to cold and I didn’t want to get sick and spend my leave like that but I would definitely go back especially for the Jacuzzi as the view is spectacular. As for conferences, I have informed my directors about Abalone. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to Abalone and the staff again for making our stay so great. (PS it was my birthday the day we checked out - 10 Aug – so this “gift” was most welcome.

We stayed for one day only & it is truly a magical place with very friendly & warm staff. The fact that the entire place is Wi-Fi is great, it’s a venue that I would definitely recommend for staff.

We had a wonderful time. We immediately felt relaxed when we arrived and there is just such a wonderful laid-back atmosphere. The service is outstanding and the food was delicious. In fact before we checked out we made a booking for my birthday in October as this is the perfect place for us to return to.
I recently returned from a family wekend away at Slanghoek Villas at Goudini Spa. I was very pleasantly surprised by all that is offered there. Goudini is a very big resort with accommodation and facilities ranging from camping and rondawels right up to their 4 star Slanghoek Villas. 
The Villas sleep 6 people and are fully equipped with bedding & towels as well as tea / coffee / sugar. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the villas are fully serviced each day.
Probably the best part about being at Slanghoek is that while your area is totally private and for residents only, you are wlecome to use the rest of the resort. We spent lots of time down at the main pools where there are water slides, restaurants, a shop, putt-puut, trampolines etc but when we wanted peace and quiet, we strolled back up the hill to the serenity of our villa.
Slanghoek is ideal for a conference. It is a very easy 90 minute drive from Cape Town and the conferencing facilities are excellent. The accommodation is great and there is plenty to keep delegates busy after conference hours as the hot pools are open until 22h00 each night. There are 30 villas in total and each villa has 3 bedrooms.
