I recently returned from a family wekend away at Slanghoek Villas at Goudini Spa. I was very pleasantly surprised by all that is offered there. Goudini is a very big resort with accommodation and facilities ranging from camping and rondawels right up to their 4 star Slanghoek Villas. Once you are inside the main gate of the Goudini Resort, you keep driving right up the mountain past all the rondawels, chalets, shops, pools etc and you get to a boom with a security man. Slanghoek Villas is only accessible to residents and has fabulous views of the valleys and vineyards of Rawsonville. It is very quiet and peaceful up there.
The Villas sleep 6 people and are fully equipped with bedding & towels as well as tea / coffee / sugar. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the villas are fully serviced each day.Slanghoek Villas has its own swimming pool and conference centre with bar, registration area and large balcony with sweeping views.
Probably the best part about being at Slanghoek is that while your area is totally private and for residents only, you are wlecome to use the rest of the resort. We spent lots of time down at the main pools where there are water slides, restaurants, a shop, putt-puut, trampolines etc but when we wanted peace and quiet, we strolled back up the hill to the serenity of our villa.
Slanghoek is ideal for a conference. It is a very easy 90 minute drive from Cape Town and the conferencing facilities are excellent. The accommodation is great and there is plenty to keep delegates busy after conference hours as the hot pools are open until 22h00 each night.
