We had a good time.  There were a few little niggles like breakfast buffet, parking and damp in the bathroom but all in all our experience was good.  Robert gave us a tour and told me all about his plans for the venue and I think it all sounds great.  His enthusiasm is infectious and I look forward to seeing the venue after the improvements have been made.

Thanks very much for the opportunity to experience Riverside Estates. 
The gardens and surrounding vegetation are absolutely beautiful and very peaceful.   The rooms are large and spacious as are the bathrooms.  Function venues have potential to truly inspire!  I felt that the smaller conference venue was set in a very luscious and peaceful area, however perhaps the actual room was a bit busy.  The owners and staff are extremely friendly and really go out of their way to ensure that one’s stay is the best it can be.  The feel of a home away from home is very prominent. Thank you once again.

Upon arriving we were met by a lovely receptionist called Monica, who welcomed us, gave us our room key and showed us to our room. They have 4 luxury rooms and we were booked in one.
Very spacious open plan room with mini bar fridge, TV with M-net and aircon. They have a balcony with mountain views. Big bathroom with big bath, shower, enough towels, and everything else you might need. Monica helped us with brochures as we wanted to order in. 45 minutes later (after having a nice warm bath) our pizza was delivered.
Sunday morning we had breakfast (served until 10am) – Peter (I think he is the owner) was very nice and welcoming. They have tourists staying there. So we sat together in the dining area and breakfast was served. Lovely ladies in the kitchen. They sure know how to cook.  After breakfast we checked out and were shown first to the function hall. It can take up to 120 people classroom style, has a ladies and gents. It can be separated into two function room to accommodate the number of people. Their day conference for whole day is R290.00 and included morning coffee and snacks, lunch and mid afternoon coffee. The price is different if they are sleeping over.
For weddings, they rent out the 4 luxury room which overlook the wedding area and pool. They have cottages (think 5) which are from 1 to 3 bedroomed, kitchenette and all the necessities. They have ample parking area in the grass and the place is quite secure.

Thank you so much for the opportunity.  It was an absolutely gorgeous setting and the rooms were really nice.  Lisa took us on a site visit on Saturday morning and I will be passing on the information to the PA’s here for the smaller conferences they arrange.
